About Heather Midori Yamada

Heather Midori Yamada is a visual artist and teacher living in Victoria since 2015. Heather's background includes painting, drawing, and printmaking in London Ontario, Montreal , Vancouver, and Toronto. Her floral subjects evolved from a deep interest in ikebana, Japanese arranging which she studied with the late Sogetsu master Seibi Watanabe. The giclee on canvas offered here is from an original mixed media watercolour.
Heather's work can be viewed on her site www.artyamada.com where she also posts her artist retreats. This year Heather will offer two contemplative art residencies at Hollyhock on Cortes Island, BC. in June and September-October.
