Michelle Barkway

Michelle Barkway is a biologist-turned-artist in Victoria BC. Her paintings are endlessly inspired by her home on the coast, surrounded by ancient cedars and the cold Pacific Ocean. An observer of details, her creative aim is to break down these complex and diverse landscapes into their component parts, mostly in hopes of soothing her busy brain. She works from her home studio and lives with her husband, two teenage boys and naughty old dog (you guessed it, also a boy).
